The minutes of the last meeting having been read an approved, the Inspector's accounts were examined and found correct, leaving a balance of £0.15.3 in his hands.
The Poor's Roll was examined and the present allowances authorised to be continued.
The Inspector reported that Sarah Bruce living in Dundee had again become chargeable to the Parish and was receiving 2/- per week.
A report that the Parish was in a satisfactory sanitary condition was laid before the meeting.
A letter from the Board of Supervision was laid before the meeting in reference to the matter of Security of intromissions of the Inspector. The clerk was instructed to reply to the Board had obtained from the Inspector satisfactory security at the time of appointment and that they regarded this security as still sufficient.
The Inspector laid before the meeting an estimate of the expenditure for the next half year in the following terms:
Poor per Roll £30 - coals £5 - Rents £6 - Sanitary Insp £1
Percent £5 - cleaning Church 15/- Common Exp £1 - Presbytery £2 Casualities £2.5
Less Church collection £6 = £26
from which it appears that the sum of £26 will be required in addition to the Church Collection, and the meeting agreed to assess the Heritors accordingly in the sum of Twenty Six Pounds and authorised Mr Tweedie to collect same.
