The minutes of the last meeting having been read an approved, the Inspector's accounts were examined and found correct, leaving a balance of £0.16.3 in his hands.
The Poor's Roll was examined and the present allowances authorised to be continued.  
Mr Bannerman was appointed Chairman for the next year.
The Inspector laid before the meeting a letter form the Board of Supervision of 26th and 29th July 1884 with directions and regulation for the guidance as to the removal of nuisances and precautions against cholera and other epidemic diseases.  It was agreed to remit the letter to the Sanitary Inspector and to request him to inspect the Parish with a view to the points in the letter and to report to the clerk of the Local Authority. The meeting empowered Mr Playfair and Mr Menzies to take any steps for the removal of nuisances that may be required before the next meeting of the Board. He also stated that he had already provided disinfectants and medicines as recommended.
The Inspector laid before the meeting an estimate of the expenditure for the next half year in the following terms:
Poor per Roll £23 - coals £5 - Rents £6 - Sanitary Insp £1 
Percent £5 - cleaning Church 15/- Common Exp £1 - Presbytery £2   Casualities £2.5  
Less Church collection £6  = £25
from which it appears that the sum of £25 will be required in addition to the Church Collection, and the meeting agreed to assess the Heritors accordingly in the sum of Twenty Five Pounds and authorised Mr Tweedie to collect same.
