ABERNYTE - NIGHT POACHING - At Perth yesterday - before Sheriff Grahame - David Malcolm and James Nevay, labourers, were charged with night poaching, in so far as they were found in a field on the farm of Whitehills, Abernyte, the property of Mr Charles Playfair, between the night of the 11th and the morning of the 12th July, with two nets and fifteen pins in their possession, for the purpose of killing game. They pled guilty. Malcolm, who had been previously convicted, was sentenced to sixty days imprisonment, and Nevay was sent to prison for thirty days.
